New York Times ‘By The Book Tag’

My first book tag, I’m so happy!! Thanks to wonderful Nyse , who has amazing content on her blog. Do check out her blog, you won’t regret it.

What Was The Last Truly Great Book You Read?

I’ve read many books but the book by Novoneel Chakraborty “Ex… A twisted love story”  is absolutely great to read. It’s plot is really great and it took me less than a second to fall in love with his writing. The story itself is pretty twisted, as the title suggests. Till the climax, you’ll surely be in a state to pull out your hair. Characterization is perfect and dialogues are quirky. Twist and turns keeps the reader on toe. Perfect ‘twisted’ love story and not at all a casual love story. I’ll recommend that you should read it if you like suspense novels.

If you could meet a writer, any writer-dead or alive-who would it be? And what would you want to know?

There are so many authors and writers that I want to meet but the great Rabindranath Tagore is the number one on my list. He is a legend in literature and poetry. I’ve read some of his books and  they have so much depth in it. I really want to know what or who was his inspiration to write such beautiful and unique pieces of writing.

And if you don’t know, he has also written the National Anthem of India.

If you could require the president,to read one book what would it be?

For the president,  he might have read it already but I’d still suggest our honorable president to read Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography,  titled as ” My experiments with truth”. It is completely marked with humility and truthfulness. Gandhi ji had not hidden anything. In fact, he is rather too harsh on himself. He only wanted to tell the people the story of his experiments with truth. Realization of the Truth is the purpose of human life. The message is loud and clear that you should always strove to realize the truth and always try to apply the knowledge of the Truth to everyday life.

How do You Organise Your Personal Library?

I’m so clumsy in organising my books. But I try hard to do it.

What Book Do You Feel You Were Supposed To Like But Didn’t?

I really was supposed to like my course books but I don’t. 😝 (does that even count?)😁😁

What Book Have You Always Meant to Read, But Haven’t Gotten To Yet?

“Gora “by the one and only Rabindranath Tagore. It’s a classic book but I couldn’t get to read it till now.

What kind of stories are you drawn to? Any you stay clear of?

I love reading mystery  or suspense books which make you lose your mind and keep the reader’s interest into the story. Sometimes,  I like to read autobiographies too to get inspired. But I so don’t like reading erotica novels, for me, it’s a waste of time (just my opinion don’t get offended please).

What Do You Plan to Read Next

I really don’t know about that!! I never plan on reading a book.
